The Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) will relocate its Sydney campus to inner Sydney following endorsement of a move in the Australian Government budget. The Government endorsed a proposal to move the School closer to the working industry in the inner Sydney area, with the final location yet to be finally decided.

Rexel Digital Filmmakers Award

Do you have a great script,but you need a great 24P camera to help bring your story to life?

Rexel Video is seeking submissions from cinematographers for an original 25P video production of 8-10 minutes duration.

THE AWARD

One Day Free Rental of a Panasonic AJ-SDX900 DVCPRO50 Camcorder plus Three Days Free Editing on an Apple Final Cut Pro 4 System.

Rexel Video is offering cinematographers the chance to strut their stuff with a short feature shot on the new Panasonic SDX900 DVCPRO50 Camera. The project should be no longer than 10 minutes completed duration and shot as 25fps progressive. An Apple FCP4 suite is available for 3 days to complete the editing and colour grade.

THE SELECTION PROCESS

A Panel of Rexel Video Staff in conjunction with: BEN ALLAN ACS and JAN KENNY from the AUSTRALIAN FILM, TELEVISION AND RADIO

SCHOOL (AFTRS) will judge entries. All decisions of the judging panel will be final.

APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN FROM 1st JANUARY TO 31th MARCH 2004 AND THE WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON APRIL 30th 2004.

HOW TO APPLY

Complete an official application form, attaching the following additional information:

- A copy of the rough script

- Biographies of key personnel and previous projects

- Only written applications will be accepted
