The Australian Film Television and Radio School [AFTRS] is pleased to announce the reappointment of Jan Kenny ACS as Head of Cinematography.
AFTRS to relocate Sydney headquarters to inner Sydney
The Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) will relocate its Sydney campus to inner Sydney following endorsement of a move in the Australian Government budget. The Government endorsed a proposal to move the School closer to the working industry in the inner Sydney area, with the final location yet to be finally decided.
AFTRS targeting 2007 move to Fox precinct
The Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) is looking to move to an inner-Sydney location in the second half of 2007, with the entertainment quarter adjoining Moore Park’s Fox Studios the preferred location.

ARRI Australia opens its doors

Sydney - 11 February 2006

Invited guests from all areas of the local and international film industries celebrated the official launch of ARRI Australia on Saturday 11th February. Equipment on show at ARRI’s custom designed facilities, included the 435 Xtreme and unique hand crank attachment, the new ARRI Zeiss Master Prime lenses, and the companion Master zoom, the 8R T2.8 Ultra Prime wide angle lens plus innovative new accessories including lightweight lithium batteries and lens control systems.

ARRI Australia has now opened its custom designed facilities in Macquarie Park, Sydney, providing a fully equipped camera rental service offering the latest ARRI cameras and lenses, and a wide selection of on-set consumables. ARRI Australia offers camera Sales and Service divisions. A Lighting Sales and Service division is in development and will be provided soon.
