Nominations Open for 2007 ACS International Award for Cinematography
Members are advised that nominations are now open for the ACS International Award for Cinematography.
Nominations can only be made by members logging into the website and using the official nomination form.
This award was first presented last year to Dion Beebe ACS ASC for Memoirs of a Geisha and is given for excellence in cinematography and is open to ANY feature film cinematographer working on the international stage.
Nominees do not have to be a member of the Australian Cinematographers Society and may be of any nationality.
2007 Nominations close: Friday 30 March
NOMINATION PROCEDURE
• Members in ALL categories of the Australian Cinematographers Society are eligible to nominate an international feature film cinematographer of their choice for this award.
• Nominations must include the cinematographer’s name PLUS the work for which they are being nominated.
• The nominated cinematographer’s work must have been released in the twelve months prior to the nomination.
• Each member may only nominate ONE cinematographer ONCE only.
• All nominations MUST be accompanied by the nominating member’s name.
• All the nominations will be correlated and, in the case of more than one cinematographer receiving the same number of nominations, a panel of Accredited members will be convened to vote on the final decision.
• The decision on the successful nominee will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The successful nominee will be contacted by the Federal President and invited to attend the National Awards to receive their award.
