2007 Accreditations

The Australian Cinematographers Society has announced the names of the five cinematographers that were recently accredited at screenings held on Saturday 15 September 2007. Those accredited were: Nick Paton (Qld), Alan Cole (Vic), David Knight (NSW), Will Gibson (Vic), Simon Christidis (Qld)

Ron Johanson ACS made Life Member

Ron Johanson ACS ACS Queensland Secretary, Federal Vice President and Sponsorship Co-ordinator Ron Johanson ACS was also presented with his Life Membership at the General Meeting on Sunday 16 September... Ron continues to serve the ACS on a number of levels and the presentation of the Life Membership is due recognition for his work.

The New Cooke lens teamed with the New RED camera at Film Australia from 7.30pm

Meet Les Zellan, chairman of Cooke lenses
Cooke's /i "Intelligent" Technology enables film and digital cameras to automatically record key lens and camera data for every film frame shot and provide it to post-production teams digitally. The technology streamlines both production and post, saving significant time and costs.
RED, Aaton, ARRI, Cinematography Electronics, Dalsa, Preston Cinema Systems, have incorporated /i technology into their hardware. On the night we will show the i/ "Intelligent" Lens Technology on Australias first working Red camera and meet Les Zellan chairman of Cooke lenses manufacturer of some of the most sophisticated lenses made today.
This is a one off night arranged to co-incide with Les Zellan from Cooke's brief visit to Australia.
