Ross Wood Award Applications Close this Friday 27 April
Applications are now open for the Ross Wood Snr Memorial Trust Award, to be awarded at the 2007 National Awards. The award may be made annually (at the National Awards) to a member of the Australian Cinematographers Society who has made, or intends to make, a contribution to cinematography and/or develop their career in the areas of research, education, experimentation, or technical, scientific, or aesthetic innovation, or for any worthwhile cause for the advancement of cinematography in Australia.

2007 ACS National Awards for Cinematography

Guest of Honour: The incomparable Don McAlpine ACS.
From his early film, “The Adventures of Barry McKenzie”, to his more recent notable films of “Mrs Doubtfire”, “Moulin Rouge” and “Narnia – The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe” Don will entertain and delight us all with his anecdotes of the film industry.

Music by: Solid White Line. A three piece acoustic group playing both original and cover songs from styles like folk to modern rock. With influences from artists such as Simon & Garfunkel, Van Morrison and Crowded House, Solid White Line will keep you dancing all night.

Tickets: $70 – includes pre-dinner drinks, Awards Presentation, three course dinner, wine/beer/soft drinks and live music.
