Ben Nott ACS wins coveted Hollywood Award
Australian Cinematographer Ben Nott ACS has won top honours in the the coveted American Society of Cinematographers award for excellence for Best Mini Series for his work on The Company for producers Ridley & Tony Scott.
Ben Nott ACS and Peter Levy ACS ASC Emmy Nominations
Australian cinematographers Ben Nott ACS and Peter Levy ACS ASC have both been nominated as outstanding cinematographers in two categories for the upcoming 60th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 21, to be held in Los Angeles.
ACS becomes IMAGO Associate Member
ACS Federal President Ted Rayment ACS attended the recent IMAGO General assembly in The Netherlands, where the ACS was accepted in as an Associate Member. 2008 IF Award nominations announced
The 10th annual Inside Film Awards kicked off today, with the announcement of the 2008 IF Award nominees including ACS Members Denson Baker ACS, Robert Humphreys ACS and the recently accredited Jules O'Loughlin.
Mandy Walker is Hollywood DOP of the Year
Australian cinematographer Mandy Walker ACS will be one of the honourees at the 12th Annual Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Awards. She will receive the "Hollywood Cinematographer of the Year Award" during a gala ceremony on October 27 in Los Angeles.

NSW member Peter Levy ACS ASC is the latest Australian and ACS Cinematographer to be recognised on the world stage for his work, being awarded an Emmy for the Pilot of Californication

ACS Welcomes new Federal President Ron Johanson ACS

Sydney - 22 September 2008

Ron Johanson ACS was elected as the new Federal President of the ACS at the Annual General Meeting in Sydney on Sunday 21 September. Ron was elected to the position following the decision of Ted Rayment ACS to stand down after 5 years in the role.

Ron also holds other roles both in both the Federal Executive and the Queensland committee.

Ron was inducted into the ACS Hall of Fame in 2003 and was made a Life Member of the Society in 2007 following his many years of dedicated service to both Queensland branch and the Federal Executive
