AFTRS Graduates

Sydney - 27 April 2007

The class of 2006 Cinematography students included Bonnie Elliott, Devris Hasan, Craig Jackson and Andrew McLeod .

The recipient of the High Achievement in Cinematography Award (for 2006) was Andrew McLeod. Andrew was deeply honoured and thrilled to be named this year’s recipient

The Graduation Ceremony has changed from previous years.

The week prior to Graduation, an industry event / gala dinner was held for sponsors, some staff and graduating students.

The Graduation ceremony itself has become a student. Some teaching staff and family event this year. Each student who won any award at all, had it announced as they collected their testamur (this included the High Achievement in Cinematography Award).

After the ceremony the entire Cinematography Dept. and their families returned to the Cinematography Dept for the actual presentation of the award which includes a Rosco Exposure meter, which was presented by Head of Cinematography Jan Kenny ACS. Andrew McLeod, read out the names of his predecessors from the plaque at this ceremony before heading up to the AFTRS foyer for the symbolic re-hanging of the plaque which now has his name on it.
