2004 AFI Awards

29 October 2004

The 2004 AFI Awards were held in Melbourne, at the Regent Theatre on Friday the 29th of October, and the highly acclaimed film Somersault, which received 15 nominations, scooped the pool with a record 13 award wins, including , Robert Humphreys ACS from Queensland who won the ATLAB AFI AWARD FOR BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY.

In the Non-Feature category Ian Batt  (WA) won AFI AWARD FOR BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY IN A NON-FEATURE FILM for Inside Australia

Eight ACS members were nominated for this years AFI awards in the cinematography categories including 2004 Australian Cinematographer of the Year David Parer ACS, Andrew Lesnie ACS Gary Ravenscroft, Toby Oliver ACS, Kim Batterham ACS, Tim Hudson
