Aussies dominate nominations in BAFTA Awards

John Seale ACS ASC Cold Mountain, Andrew Lesnie ACS The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King and Russell Boyd Master And Commander: The Far Side Of The World are among the cinematography nominations for this years BAFTA awards; to be held on Sunday 15th February at the Odeon, Leicester Square, London, UK.
Cold Mountain has been nominated in the categories Film , The David Lean Award for Achievement in Direction for Anthony Minghella, The Alexander Korda Award for Outstanding British Film of the Year , Adapted Screenplay , Make-Up & Hair , Sound , Editing , Costume Design , Production Design , Cinematography and Film Music . Jude Law was nominated in the category Actor in a Leading Role and Renée Zellweger for Actress in a Supporting Role .
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King has been nominated in the categories Film , The David Lean Award for Achievement in Direction for Peter Jackson, Adapted Screenplay , Make-Up & Hair , Achievement in Special Visual Effects , Sound , Editing , Costume Design , Production Design , Cinematography , and Film Music . Ian McKellen has also been nominated for Actor in a Supporting Role .
Master and Commander received 8 nominations, in the categories Film , The David Lean Award for Achievement in Direction for Peter Weir, Achievement in Special Visual Effects , Sound , Costume Design , Production Design and Cinematography . Paul Bettany was nominated in the category Actor in a Supporting Role .
