Butch Calderwood ACS awarded OAM

Butch Calderwood ACS received a Medal (OAM) in the General Division in this years Queens Birthday Honours List. He was awarded this in recognition for his contribution to Cinematography
In recent years Butch Calderwood, has been heavily involved in the Society and is currently serving as Federal Treasurer and Editor of Australian Cinematographer. Butch is also involved with the ACS Archive which was recently announced
Since retiring in 1995, Butch has remained involved in the industry, trianing up-and-coming cinematographers, most recently with a Tape to Film course he instructs with fellow cinematographer Ted Rayment ACS
Butch joins fellow cinematographers Milton Ingerson ACS who was awarded an OAM in the 2002 Australia Day Honours, as well as internationally renowned cinematographers John Seale ACS ASC, and Dean Semler ACS ASC who were made members (AM) in the General Division
