Date: 23 Aug 2015
The Australian Cinematographers Society and Australian Screen Editors in partnership with the National Film and Sound Archive and Cinema Nova present a special screening of the iconic Melbourne-made black comedy Death in Brunswick, followed by a cast/crew Q&A.
Long before Brunswick was a hipster hub of fixies and ironic moustaches, it was the site of Sam Neill and John Clarke attempting to hide an act of murder most accidental. Hapless Carl (Neill) thinks his life is finally on the up-and-up when he gets a job as a cook and meets the beautiful Sophie (Zoe Carides). But after a run-in with fellow worker Mustafa ends in blood, Carl must enlist the help of his unscrupulous best friend Dave in order to hide the body and keep out of reach of the law.
