State & Territory Awards

The ACS State & Territory Awards are held annually in November/December.

Entry in to the awards is for members only. Gold winners progress through to the National Awards held in May the following year.

This year sees the introduction of a new category specifically for stop motion animation. Traditionally, stop motion cinematography was incorporated into Experimental and Specialised, but it now has its own category. It’s open to single frame cinematography of any subject/category filmed on any media. Entrants may choose to enter the item in this category or any other but may enter it in only one category. The entry fee for this category is $44.00

Also new to 2010 is the online awards entry form system. In order to make entering the awards easier for members, all information relating to entering the awards is submitted by the entrant online. Once the information is submitted, entrants can pay online with credit card or by submitting a cheque with their physical entry. Detailed instructions will be emailed to the entrant once their information is received.

This year entries will only be accepted on film, HDcam, Digital Betacam, MiniDV, DVD, BluRay and new to 2010, entrants can submit data entries in the News and Television Commercial categories only (excludes VIC & TAS). Strict technical conditions apply to data submissions to ensure the quality of entries submitted in this way, for details refer to the terms and conditions.
