The Milli Award
The Milli Award is awarded to the Australian Cinematographer of the Year and is the highest award
ACS International Award for Cinematography
2006 saw the introduction of the ACS International Award for Cinematography. This award is for excellence in cinematography and is open to ANY feature film cinematographer working on the international stage.
Hall of Fame
The Australian Cinematographers Society Hall of Fame is the highest honour that can be bestowed on a cinematographer.
The Ross Wood Snr Memorial Award
A trust fund, setup in the name of Ross Wood Snr, primarily to encourage and recognise young cinematographers who like to experiment and be innovative.

2009 National Awards for Cinematography

Clear your diary for this year’s most exciting and prestigious event- the 2009 Australian Cinematographers Society National Awards for Cinematography - Proudly supported by Fujifilm

This year’s gala will be held in the glitz and glamour of the always beautiful Gold Coast, in sunny Queensland.

The peak awards for the celebration of the art of motion picture photography will be the climax of a full weekend of Cinematography-related events, held between 1-2 May 2009.

On Friday and Saturday, The Kodak Q&A Series will present internationally recognised Cinematographers showcasing their work and answering questions from participants. Kodak will wrap-up the Friday sessions with an intimate cocktail party for our guest Cinematographers and all participants

The Kodak Q&A Series will be held at the Greater Union Cinemas, Pacific Fair, Hooker Blvd, Broadbeach and is free for ACS members and their guests.

Saturday night’s Awards Ceremony will see the presentation of up to 15 Golden tripods, the award for ACS International Award for Cinematography, announcement of inductees into the Hall of Fame as well as the presentation of the prestigious Milli Award- the highest honour for a Cinematographer in this country.

The awards will be held at the newly finished Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast Hwy, Broadbeach.

Attendees can fly into the local Gold Coast airport at nearby Coolangatta, or can travel to Brisbane airport, 90 minutes away.
